Since 1985 we are having Irish Setters in our home and in 1992 we decided to breed them. Our search for a Kennel name was not that difficult. As it happens we live here in the centre of 'Mergelland', in the south of The Netherlands. Now 'Mergelland' means 'Marlland' in Dutch. During the years our kennel expanded to a respectable number of Irish Setters. In the first place, we try to breed healthy dogs with a superb character. If they are doing well at shows, all the better. Combinations of dogs and bitches are carefully chosen and they are all tested for  HD, CLAD, PRA rcd-4 en ECVO.
